R A N K S
Kits
The youngest members in the Clan and the future for the Clan. They all have different first word names, like Sandkit, Willowkit, Littlekit. These kits don't become apprentices till they are six moons old.
Apprentices
When kits become six moons old they will go through their apprentice ceremony and the leader of the Clan will give the apprentice his/her new name (Sandpaw, Willowpaw, Littlepaw). Then the leader will give that new apprentice his/her mentor who will train them to become warriors. Apprentices look after the elders of the Clan and hunt for them, they do errands and train to become warriors.
Warriors
After several moons of training, apprentices will be given an assessment to see if they are truly ready to become warriors. When their mentors find them ready the leader and the mentor will discuss it and the apprentice will go through a warriors ceremony. The leader give the apprentice his/her warrior's name, (Sandbreeze, Willowfur, Littletail). Warriors will sometimes do secret missions if necessary, hunt for the Clan, renew borders and defend the Clan through any intruders or threats in the Clan, like badgers, foxes or the other Clans. When the Clan leader finds it the right time the Clan leader will give a kit for a warrior to mentor.
Deputy
The deputy is the second leader in a Clan, the Clan leader's right paw. The deputy is in charge of rounding up hunting and border patrols. If the Clan leader can't attend to a gathering it would be the deputy who takes the Clan leader's place. A warrior can't become deputy till he/she trained at least one apprentice.
Clan leader
The Clan leader is essential in the Clan, he/she leads the Clan, guides it and protects it. The Clan leader makes all the decisions, apprentices becoming warriors, or kits becoming warriors. Every Clan leader begins with nine lives and their warrior name changed with a star (like Sandstar, Willowstar, Littlestar). When the Clan leader loses all nine lives it will be the deputy who becomes the new Clan leader, he/she will go to with a medicine cat to meet StarClan where they would give his/her nine lives and new name. After the new Clan leader returns home the Clan leader will choose a new deputy.
Medicine Cat
The medicine cat is essential in the Clan as much as the Clan leader and deputy. Instead of learning how to fight and hunt the medicine cat learns the art of healing, having vast knowledge of herbs. They make sure the Clan stays healthy and they help guide the Clan through StarClan. StarClan speaks through the medicine cats and give them signs when needed. When the Clan leader is uncertain and needs advise other than his deputy he/she will ask the medicine cat. There is only one medicine cat in the Clan and when the time the medicine cat feels is right he/she will train an apprentice or warrior that interests in herbs and healing. When the medicine cat feels that his/her apprentice is ready, it will be the medicine cat that will give the cat's new name, not the Clan leader and will give the cat's new name at half moon when the four medicine cats and their apprentices would go to speak with StarClan.
Queens
Queens are she-cats expecting or have kits. They raise the kits till they are old enough to become apprentices. When the kits become apprentices the she-cats can return to warrior duties. However, if the she-cat prefers to stick to the nursery the queen can help other queens in raising the kits.
Elders
Warriors, queens, deputy, or Clan leader, once old go to join the elders and relax for the rest of their days. They give advise to apprentices from all their experience as a warrior.
